Our Plans are Tailored for You

We realize that to a lot of customers shopping for electricity is more of a hassle than an opportunity to save money.

So at Transparent Electricity Quotes, we strive to give the lowest of rates no matter what your preference is. Whether you’d just like to get a long term fixed contract and be done with it or you’d like to go for the lowest rates you possibly can get by going short term or index, we have the right plan tailored for you.

Why is Month to Month Higher?

Often I hear people say something like, “My electricity provider gouged me as soon as my contract expired.” Followed by something like, “I can’t stand that company anymore.”

Today I’d like to let you know that there are actually very good reasons why your rate goes up when you roll over onto a Month to Month plan. Every month Providers get their own electricity bill from ERCOT to pay for their customers’ usage that they have not already bought in advance, or hedged. That bill from ERCOT often comes at a premium much higher than what the provider would have paid for your electricity if they knew you were going to remain a customer. So the extra cost transfers to you to pay extra to remain on a Month to Month rate.

So if you are on Month to Month, I’d advise you to get a contract with a good fixed rate.

Commercial Quote Snapshot

Here’s a snapshot of our Commercial Quote sheet we offer to any business free of charge.

At Transparent Electricity Quotes we give multiple quotes from multiple providers in a way that is entirely honest, transparent and filled with kindness.

At a glance you can see all the quotes from several providers we gathered for you typically on one sheet. Our honesty and transparency come through as we list any other charges you may see on your bill right next to the prices. And our kindness comes through in our Recommendation on the following page.

Our recommendation is all about what is in your best interest. Whether you’re looking for the lowest cost over time, the speed of the contract execution, green energy, or anything else…we use our expertise to recommend what is in your best interest.

There is no cost, no obligation, no agreement, no catch. So please let us give you a Transparent Electricity Quote the next time your contract is coming up.

A Residential Rate Comparison Tip

Sometimes when I tell someone that I have a rate in the 7 or 8 cents range, they’ll respond saying they have a 4 or 5 cent rate. In a lot of those cases, they don’t realize that in addition to their Kwh charge there’s also an additional charge for the poles & wires company called TDU charge or TDSP charge. It’s typically about 3.15 cents/Kwh additional to their 4 or 5 cent rate. After you add them up, then you see the actual price they’re paying per Kwh.

Keeping that rate difference in mind when you’re comparing rates for your next electricity contract will help you make a great decision.

Electricity & Baseball

If two Major League Baseball teams played each other everyday for a whole year, how likely would it be that one team would win every time?  I’d say statistically the chances are 1 in 133,225 (365×365). Similarly, when Electricity Providers face off it’s also very unlikely that one will have the lowest price every time. Why? Because electricity prices are not arbitrary, but based on performance like baseball.  Rather than their stats being made up of things like Hits, Runs & Strikeouts, providers’ performances are based upon things like trade portfolio performance,  sturdiness of a credit sleeve, and generation capacity. So if you want the best of rates, compare prices from multiple providers. And that’s just what we do here at Transparent.

Save Thousands on Electricity

At Transparent, we save people thousands of dollars per year on electricity.Especially businesses because they use more. But for illustration, here’s how a home can save thousands with our firm.

An average Texas home uses about 1000 KwH/month. That’s 12,000 Kwh/year.A standard rate in Texas is around 10 cents/Kwh. That’s $1200/year. If you’re paying 13.7 cents/Kwh like someone I helped the other day, that’s $1644/year. My current 12 month rate of 8.1 cents /Kwh lowers the cost to $972/year.

That savings comes to $228/ year versus a 10 cent rate or $672/ year versus a 13.7 cent rate. If you use twice that much electricity like me. You can save $450-$1200/ year just by allowing us to help you.

Switching Your Electricity Provider

It can take some courage to switch from a product you’re used to.Whether it’s Apple or Microsoft, or Chevy or Ford. Many have said it is not good to switch electricity providers because “Your power might turn off.” Or “That power business is just a gimmick.”

I’ve heard these things being said and can assure you that switching electric providers won’t cause your power to turn off and that this power industry is NOT a big gimmick. However, there is risk. It is possible to pick a provider who will not turn out so good. Or you may get stuck in a bad deal. And that is why I feel it’s best to find an energy professional you trust.

On the other hand, I personally will try to fix or do anything myself before I call a professional because they usually charge you for their service. But, at Transparent Electricity Quotes our professional consultation is free of charge and free of obligation. We’re paid by the providers only after you switch so it behooves us to find you the best rate we can.

A Provider That Will Treat You Very Well

Many people think that it doesn’t matter which provider you choose, that they’re all the same.

Others, think that one particular provider is the best every time.

While neither of these statements are entirely true, it is true that trust is the underlying factor to both of these views. One trusts the PUC to regulate everyone fairly and the other trusts only one company.

At Transparent Electricity Quotes, I give you the option to trust me. If you would give me the honor of allowing me to give you a free quote, I’ll do all the hard work for you to make sure that you are lined up with a provider that has an excellent rate and will have you taken care of very well.
